Kristin Fisher has joined CNN on July 20, 2021. She is the station's Space and Defense Correspondent. In her role as Space and Defence Correspondent at CNN, she's responsible to cover everything ranging from NASA and the newly formed Space Force up until commercial space companies, and even the advent and growth in space travel. Kristin was raised in the sector of space, as the daughter and granddaughter of NASA astronauts. Over the last five years, she has covered space policies under Biden and Trump Administrations in FOX News. Over the course of her tenure, she reported on the presidential 2020 campaign, two impeachment trials and two attempts to prevent the spread of coronavirus and two other administrations' efforts. She also went on numerous journeys with the President and Vice President, including a top secret visit to Afghanistan together with the former president Donald Trump. Kristin was a television reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., where she earned an Emmy Award for her work as an "one-man-band" reporter before joining CBS in the year 2015. Kristin's expertise as a camerawoman helped her establish Field Mouse Films which specialized making documentary-style videos for corporate customers such as Uber Hotels & Resorts, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelors of Science in Journalism from Boston University. Her husband and three year-old daughter reside in Washington, D.C.
