Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is an Mexican American Sportscaster. She currently works as an ESPN sportscaster. ESPN, working as an anchor of SportsCenter reports and hosts SportsNation. The first time she worked at ESPN in the year 2016. She is the child of the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from when she was nine years old. This ability which helped her obtain her first role as a Univision Production Assistant in Miami. In Miami, she collaborated with producers for National shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Her first job was as a reporter for CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg affiliate after that. In 2009, she moved to Rio Grande Valley to work as a journalist at KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. Her stories covered immigration, drug trafficking, and others on the Texas as well as the Mexico border. Additionally, she worked as a Spanish reporter for the newscast of 5 p.m. as well as anchor and reporter on the newscast of 9 p.m. in English and again an anchor and reporter for the newscast of 9 p.m. in English, as well Spanish reporter for 10 p.m. Her duties as an anchor for sports or weather were often requested. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallasthe affiliate of Univision Dallas, and she has more responsibility. She reported on all of the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. In addition, she also hosted and produced Univision 23's Accion Deportiva Extra local sports show. She was anchor for the sports segment of Despierta America Deportes morning show. The same role, she worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) and Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports program). Antonietta Collin's parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. Her birth date was November 22nd, 1984 in Mexico City. Also, she has an older sister. Her family relocated to Miami in 1992, after having left Mexico. In 1992, her parents divorced soon after. In 1995, she remarried Fabio Fajardo, a naval engineer who died in 2006 from kidney cancer. It was on a summer vacation that she stayed with her younger sister living in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had gotten the job. Antonietta, a high-school senior having a clear idea of where she wanted her future to be, visited Mount Union University to determine what she could get out of the college. At the end of the day, she fell in love with the university. And they offered her the opportunity to study a major. She graduated from high school and enrolled into media school at the University. Mark Bergmann - her professor and director of WRMU (91.1 FM) in which she was a part of. Her professor urged her to be confident and was greatly moved by his love of journalism.
